Elsie Carmicahel  Belcher
Elsie Carmichael Belcher, a native of Pine Hill, AL, and a resident of Prichard, AL, was born on December 15, 1923 and entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 10, 2018.

In her early years, Sis Belcher attended Hall Elementary in Pine Hill, Alabama and was a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church and later she relocated to Mobile, Alabama and joined Aimwell Missionary Baptist Church in 1952. She was a faithful member and served in many capacities. She was in the Mass Choir.

She work as a private duties nurses,

Sister Belcher was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Belcher, Sr. and her son, Matthew Carmichael.

She leaves to cherish her memories one devoted daughter: Barbara A. (Earl Allen) Sawyer of Mobile, Alabama; three sons: John (Zina) Carmichael of Detroit, Michigan, Nathan Belcher Jr. and Robert Carmichael all of Mobile, Alabama; grandchildren: Stephanie Myers, Elsie Sawyer, Riccardo (Sharronda) Sawyer and Pinkie Carmichael, Marlon (Lasheka) Carmichael all of Mobile, Alabama. Shernathan (Eugene) Murphy of Birmingham, Alabama; Tracy (Charles) Matlock of Allen, Texas, Tedarryl Carmichael of Pensacola, Florida. Wyvetta (Fletcher) Forte of Pensacola, Florida ,Wendy (Evonte) Meadows of Easter Point, Michigan, Tehma Carmichael of East Point Michigan: one sister: Ora Ransom of Pine Hill, Alabama; one brother-in-law: Shelby Belcher of Mobile, Alabama; god brother: William Brown of Mobile, Alabama; devoted great great grandchildren: Lameria Myers, and Demarcus Lowe, all Mobile, Alabama; 29 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; two devoted sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Special “Thanks” to Saad’s Hospice and Nurse Aids, Regina Travis and Fran.

Her remains will lie in state from 1-8pm on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Aimwell Baptist Church, 505 Earl Street, Mobile, AL. Interment will follow in Serenity Hall Of Honor Cemetery, Theodore, AL.
