Obituary for Michelle Eldridge Lang

Michelle Latisha Eldridge Lang, affectionately known as “Shelly Bee” passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at a local hospital She was born February 13, 1967 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Herie James and Mattie Eldridge.

She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, sister and friend. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved to cook and sell food. If there was a way to make money to help provide for her family she made it happen. She sold anything from dinner plates, to fireworks, lol. She loved to travel. If a car crank, she was ready to ride. These are just a few things that describe how awesome she was. She’s gone but will never be forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Eldridge; mother, Mattie Eldridge; sister, Yvonne Sales; sister-in-law, Bertha Reed; brother-in-law, Alton Lang, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted husband of twenty-nine year, Mr. Alex Lang; two daughters: Teneshia and Lavon Eldridge; two sons: William (Sharon) and Jamario Eldridge; nine grandchildren: Santeria, Jermiya, Kimoria, Makayla, Jeremy, William, Jermany, Za’Mari and Jamario all of Mobile, Alabama; three sisters: Rose Eldridge, Doris Overstreet and Denise Bell; four brothers: Ezekiel Eldridge, Joseph (Joann) Eldridge, Ronald Williams and Torino Eldridge; seven sisters-in-law: Lilli Reed, Joann Adam, Sheila Clark, Penny Gaston, Sherry Lang, Glynda Lang and Costaror Bell; five brothers-in-law: Aarron Lang, Andy Lang, Anthony Lang, Bruce Adams and Benny Hicks; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Her remains will lie in state from 1-8pm on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 10am until the 12pm funeral hour at Sweet Pilgrim Baptist Church, 359 St. Charles Avenue, Mobile, AL. Interment will follow in Gethsemane North Cemetery, Eight Mile, AL.
